Livestation is _WORTHLESS_ for English speaking people here in the US. There are a number of other options to see content originating from North America for free and without restrictions. In fact, this app crashes after a few minutes on my Mac - apparently from memory leaks due to shoddy coding. Beware clowns shilling for this she-ite with bogus reviews.

Bottom line:

I wasted my time with this POS - don't waste yours.

Lacks content. No way to remove Al Jazeera English Premium Channel leaves me wondering where the money is going? I personally refuse to support any service that serves as a platform for terrorists to spew their hate.

User added channels do not work. Basically a waste of time.

This latest version of the Livestation Player is an absolute damn lemon in every respect. Avoid it like the plague. It crashes endlessly, and on the few occasions when it does not crash within minutes it delivers appallingly bad audio and unwatchable video. In my case the "Live Chat" tab which should be available is completely absent - making it totally impossible for me to access any of the chatrooms. Before learning just how horrible Livestation 3 was, I was foolish enough to pay for a "Live Pro" subscription - approx $30.00 (AUD). I have yet to see ANY evidence whatsoever that I am getting any "Pro" features at all. On the contrary I cannot get even the most basic features to work at all. Furthermore, I cannot get any responses from Livestation's "Customer Service" Department to my now several emails. Another user has posted on the Livestation's Forum that its Customer Service is "s..it", and I heartily agree. Do NOT pay for this product, or for the absurd so-called "LivePro" subscription. The former is a lemon and the latter is a pure rip-off. Sadly, Livestation was ONCE a good product - but the current state of affairs is a shambolic disgrace. I am disgusted and very angry. Regrettably, MacUpdate doesn't give me the option of giving this software the rating of "0" - so please treat my 1 star as a zero.

Good on CPU use but very unstable, version 3.0 crashes all the time a few seconds after use. And small channels list also.

Very stable and with suprisingly small system footprint ( both cpu and ram )
The choice and reliability of the proposed ( allegedly thousands ) channels is very poor though . Most of them never work ( I tested many channels - both very popular and newly added ones ) . Mediocre image quality makes the few that do unwatchable in the long run

Very decent app - very poor content

Well, Livestation stopped working completely last week. All the usual troubleshooting has been done, but there just nothing to do that I know of to fix it. Even between system re-boots, the menu-bar icon is usually frozen, the main video window no longer opens, and logging out of my account and back in again does no good. On the rare occasion that the Livestation main window does open, not a single channel appears and, in fact, the channels are no longer even listed in the carousel or list views. Personally, I don't need to see a dozen messages from the muppets who say, "Gee whiz, it works for me every time!" The fact is, this program no longer works for ME. Well, I'm not complaining since it is, after all free. I hope the developer fixes it. I miss watching the BBC World News on it every day.

Gotta say that this program is imminently unreliable. There are several channels (like the BBC World News and the BBC World Service) that work rather well, but most of the rest of the channels are inaccessible. By comparison, MIRO is SO MUCH BETTER! If only Livestation could be this reliable. For the past year since I started using this program, it was very, very rare that I could access CNN International, which is very annoying. Why even include it as an option if you can't view it? About a week ago, a big fat error message "error loading partner channels" appeared smack-dab in the middle of the screen of the few viewable channels. There are no options for removing the unwanted viewing obstruction. If it weren't for the ability to access the BBC World Service and AL Jazeera, Livestation would be absolutely useless. It already succeeds in being infuriating.

When LiveStation works on the channels that are accessible, it works pretty well and has a nice interface, EXCEPT that I really get P*ssed that 95% of the time I can't get the channels I really want. CNN is at the top of that list, but there are plenty more. I get tired of just watching the BBC World News and Al Jazeera. For this reason, I have moved on to Miro, which offers more quality channel options. If Livestation won't or can't provide certain choice channels, why annoy us and waste our time by displaying several options for CNN when we can't get it!!?? Shape up Livestation, or just step aside.

I just tried to download to my Mac. I am on OS 10.5.7 but when I try to open LiveStation it says, "cannot open application because it is not supported on this architecture." Does anyone know what this means? Thanks
