Excellent. The only thing that Aperture was missing for me was a "Lens Correction" tool. No longer.

I recently bought a tokina 17mm rmc lens for my FF dslr. It was sharp enough and wide enough but had a mustache distortion that I couldn't correct in photoshop. To my surprise, Ptlens had this lens in its library. It also had the flexibility to work around flawed exif (olympus mount on canon eos).

The short version is - with 1 click this lens became a rectilinear architectural tool.

This is a great great app. As a bonus it works as a photoshop plugin - so your workflow is not interrupted. As a bonus to the bonus: you can have any lens calibrated for the library.

Version 1.5.2 was released June 6, 2010. Works great with Photoshop CS5. Updated for 32- and 64-bit operation, and the lens database is currently more extensive than that within Lightroom 3 or Photoshop.

Great little application for allowing you to correct perspective as well or better as in full on Photoshop. Works brilliantly with Aperture (but due to the Aperture plugin architecture you do end up with a tiff which takes up a fair amount of disk space).

Other than that, this is shareware as it is meant to be. Simple, powerful, very Mac interface.

This little program was a God send to me at a point a little while back while working on photos for a catalog of images for an art auction. The images were all 'barrel distorted' and with installation of PTLens I was able to very quickly adjust them. (I found LensFix to not work as expected.) The database of lenses and cameras was up to date. (Developer, I did find that the version 1.0.4 was not letting the registration 'stick' in Photoshop CS3 so I downgraded to 1.0.2 and it is fine. The only reason I don't give five stars is that as with anything, there is room for improvement. Thanks for your hard work. It is most appreciated.
