This is indispensable for anyone that works with georeferenced data. Personally, I have been hoping for something just like this. Now it is hear.
The simple installer will give you access to several common formats so you can preview them in the Finder. This is very handy.
Unfortunately, the formats that are supported are quite limited. Apparently, gdal is not being used to provide format support. If it were, information on geotiffs, qml, kml, gpx, and numerous other formats should be available. On the other hand, the file size is very small and resource use seems to be quite low.
