I've tried this in the past, but I had some issues with how my menubar appeared. I'm not saying it's bad; it just didn't meet personal standards. I went with a combo of Leo ColorBar and Nocturne, both of which are free. So, now they have a new version of this, and I'm open to trying it, but for some apocalyptic reason, it seems that developers who used to offer demo versions are now no longer able to do so. There's no way I'm spending $3 just to see if this new improved version does what I need.

Just out of curiousity, on modern monitors do pixels still get burned into the screen? I thought that problem went out with the CRT.

And the reason I will give you $2 without being able to first test this out with a demo is . . . ?

Works great. Its amazing how much the menubar can be a distraction when your program window is maximised to take up the full screen. menueclipse fixes that quite well.

Would be good if the old icon menu from 2.0 was back.

I remember trying this app years ago when it was free :)) I just paid $2 for it though, so for that, i reckon a feature that actually hides the menubar for all applications would be a good thankyou from the developer, lol.

Haters, haters, haters be gone!

Why is this user below called "@timi" giving this app a 0.5 rating because there is no Demo version or how the developer handels comments... huh? That makes no sence, this simple little utility does what is advertises for only 1.99, thats good enough for me. I wouldn't wan't this app to stop existing just because of these damn haters!!

And then the user below called "Virgeist" also gives 0.5 rating becasue he finds Nocturne to be better and free, but they don't do the same thing even!? Anyway that is just wrong. I support this app 100% - keep it up!

Just saw it in the App Store, I find it useful. Its nice and does exactly what it says. Thanks! Would be great if the color could blend instead of cover the menu bar...

Just use Nocturne... It's free and a better product overall.

Ehhh... why don't just use Cmd + Ctrl + Optn + 8, this is a built-in feature in Mac OS X called "Reverse black and white"?

you can use specific tints and options in Nocturne unlike the shortcut (unless I'm mistaken).

No demo, and have you seen how the developer handles comments on MacUpdate?
