Nanosaur is a 3D game created on the cutting edge of technology and makes use of Apple's QuickDraw 3D technology. The game was not designed for hard-core gamers, but rather it was meant to be played by the "average" Macintosh user. It is a visually stunning game which is easy to play even by people who don't normally play games.

The story behind Nanosaur is that you are a dinosaur (a Nanosaur to be exact) from the future who has traveled back in time to collect the eggs of 5 dinosaur species before the giant asteroid hits the earth. The "primitive" dinosaurs will attack you as you

It would be nice if this weren't a DEMO. You're hiding behind the FREE keyword in this database, which makes you a liar right off the bat. Even if I liked the game, I wouldn't buy it from you.

Cute concept, nice graphics, nice soundtrack.

A couple of complaints though:

It was difficult to figure out what the goal of the game was. Popup hints to guide the player, or at least a description under the "help" icon at the start of the game would be helpful.

The "jetpack" never worked. Even reassigning the keys didn't help.

I could only collect one egg. No matter how many I brought back to the temporal vortex, only the first would appear in the tracker-thingy at the bottom of the screen.

Never did figure out what the T-Rex head with the numbers underneath meant. It never changed, no matter how many T-Rexes I dispatched.

31/7/08. I know this is really late to reply to your comments, but I've just come across it. I spent thousands of hours (no bull) playing this game on my first G3 Imac, and there's not much I don't know about it. Firstly, there are five coloured eggs that you must collect in the 20 minutes you're alotted, but there is more than one of each colour. If you claim you're picking up different eggs and then off loading them at the collection points, but it still says you've only got one egg, it's because you are picking several eggs of the same colour. After a while you start to know where the different ones are hidden, and you have to keep moving through the game, or you won't come across the other coloured eggs. The jet backpack doesn't work unless you stand over one of those steam vents in the ground. That's how you fill your tank. Keep an eye on the fuel gauge too, as some vents will only half fill the tank. To take off push the A key and to land the Z key. Once you get the hang of this game, you'll find it addictive. I'm still hooked after 8 years. Sadly all my requests to Brian Greenstone of Pangea Software to get the game released in OS X have failed, but strangely it's available as download for Windows computers. If you go to the Pangea website there is a map with the design of the game including the hiding spots for the eggs. Good Luck.

Excellent game. Graphics are nice. It even runs on my aging 6500, but badly (RAVE library). I haven't been able to mount a dino with my 6500's frame rate, but on another machine, it's fun to mount pteradactyls ;-). I've been able to get the same effect by double-jumping from a cliff. 999 nukes really help when you have to clear things from your path :).

This game is great cos of all the cool graphics and weapons. The best thing is, its not meant for hard-core gamers, and kids like it because its a challenging computer game that they can play. After you collect all the eggs, you get shown a movie about what dinoland is like after you save the world. Yo can also (my brother found this one) access the video ( and the lose/die ones etc) by looking through the folders until you find one containing lots of quicktime movies. The downside is that the music really annoys you after a while. You can also replace this with your favourite tune by placing it in the music folder.

This game is a load of ****.
It looked actually fun to me but it turned out to be worse than runescape.
I actually cant believe they want me to buy this crap.
I dont believe the people that said this game was good were acttually telling the truth.
There probley just telling us that so we waste space on our computer.
I'm glad someone deleted the game on that guys computer because this game is crap.
Dont expect any better ratings than mine, because you wont get any from me.

The guy who said this was stupid was crazy.
I really liked it because you can blow up stuff and it tests your ability to play on a computer.

#1: This "guy" sounds like he's eight years old.
#2: Try saying WHY you don't like the game instead of repeating yourself adnauseum.
#3: "I can't believe they actually want me to buy this..." ??? Perhaps you missed the FREE part?

This game is easy to learn yet fun and challenging. I found it to be much more difficult than described--I've yet to collect all of the eggs.
