Ip Menulet stops Time Machine from backing up if you're using the latest 10.6.5 beta. Specifically, TM gets hung up on the last file in Ip Menulet's .pkg (forgot the name). Don't know if it's a problem on 10.6.4.

Applications/IPMenulet/ShowPackageContents/Contents select "contents folder" and choses get info,click the unlock icon and enter your password to unlock,under sharing and permissions change ALL to read and write,go to the little cog wheel(actions) and select apply to all enclosing folders,then click ok when the warning pops up. Now try a fresh tm backup. if it doesnt work,go back and show contents for Ip Menulet again,and change each folder and its contents one by one with the same procedure as before(sharing permissions set ALL to read and write)

Simply put, perfect for my needs. Automatic update of your external ip in the menubar when it senses a change, and if you can't wait that 20 seconds you can refresh it yourself, it has never failed to pick up the new and accurate ip. Exactly what I was looking for, no bells and whistles just display my external in the menubar! Great App, from the developer, if more programs are to be released by the group I would definitely check it out. Beautiful in it's simplicity.
