Pwnage Tool ... The big momma of all iPhone unlocking tools to date known appropriately as 'Pwnage'. this software update enables an iPhone to install unsigned firmware, which means hackers will be able to integrate their latest cracks/unlocks/applications directly into the newest firmware, leaving the user with a 'pwned' iPhone (for the want of a better adjective) that just needs to restore the hacked firmware through a file in iTunes. Guess jailbreaking an iPhone has just gotten so simple, even your dog could do it!

The best in the business -- the only solution worth considering. The Pwnage folks are heroes, freeing us from the insanity of carrier restrictions in the U.S. Why should AT&T be allowed to keep iPhones locked after the expiration of a contract, or when a customer pays the no-contract price?

I must be the only person on the planet that could never get this to work. I'd either get an iTunes error 16xx or 11. No amount of trying would ever push a FW update to my phone.

Despite updated ramdisk, despite proper DFU mode, despite Cydia server redirect, nothing.

I can set up ipfw, install and run a server running php, and even ran Gentoo for 4 years... Either I'm not as smart as I think I am, or this program has some serious flaws...

Never had any problems with any other JB tools (redsn0w, etc.) but this one, never fails to fail.

GREAT app. Because of this app I was able to buy a used iPhone to use with my old AT&T plan which I have had before the merge w/Cingular. I have to use unlocked phones on my account or else AT&T/Cingular will make me loose my 1000 min 2-phone family plan for $59 (free nights/weekends/M-M) and upgrade to a lesser plan that costs more. Ummm... NO THANK YOU. Plus, I am around WiFi almost all the time so don't really need to pay $20/mo for Edge. This FREE program Unlocked my iPhone so I could pop in my old SIMM and am good to go. It was pretty easy to used ... look at iClarified.com for helpful instructions. Thanks to the developers. I will look for a way to donate when I get some cash in my paypal account. 5 star app by far!

For people jailbreaking on iOS 4.3.1, Redsn0w 0.9.6RC9 is a lot easier to use.

Crashes on me with the following info from the crash report...

Application Specific Information:

Previous version have worked fine in the past. Running 10.6.7 on DualCore i7 17" MacBook Pro.
