This does NOT just flush the DNS cache; it flushes the whole Directory Service cache. The man page for dscacheutil says:

-flushcache
Flushes the entire cache. This should only be used in extreme
cases. Validation information is used within the cache along
with other techniques to ensure the OS has valid information
available to it.

Whenever I have trouble, for example, accessing some websites that I know are accessible, I use:

lookupd -flushcache

Why do people always try to show off that they know
how to use terminal and ask stupid questions like
that.

If you were intelligent u'd know this is simply a gui
frontend of that....

What does this do different from just typing: "dscacheutil -flushcache" ?

Apparently nothing different:

% strings MacOS/DNS Flusher | fgrep cache
/usr/bin/dscacheutil
-flushcache

It provides folks an option if they don't know how to use the Terminal
