All the things this app can do, can also be done on the web for free. So why buy it? If you do the odd search here and there then it's a waste of money, but if you find yourself doing frequent domain name searches then this is a real time saver.
Since this tackles a large number of top-level domain name databases at the same time, it almost always ends in a hit. There's no easily accessible top-level name database that I know that allows you to do searches for more than a limited number of top-level designations and these tend to be com, net, org etc. Rarely do do you get country designations and then if you do it's usually only a tiny fraction of the top-level names available. Go-Daddy is probably one of the best but if I want to look up something with an .au (Australia) I've got to go elsewhere.
About the only complaint I have after one day's heavy usage is that the log could be a bit more informative ie when the app can't find something the log comes back with "Ambiguous query" when in actual fact the name (on my testing) doesn't exist.
This is a one-trick pony but if you're doing lots of searches then it's a useful one.
