MusicPort is a bundle of two softwares : MusicDaemon and MusicServer. The aim is to be able to use its iTunes music library on a computer to another computer through Internet.
What's New
Version 1.0.5:
A true daemon for MusicDaemon, launched by launchd and controlled by MusicDaemonControler
Requirements
PPC / Intel, Mac OS X 10.4 or later, iTunes
- Simplify Media use a centralized server (to manage "linked" users). MusicPort work directly from the server to the client.
- Simplify Media need to be registered on this server.
- Simply Media can't share a iTunes database in other place of the installation (my server don't use iTunes : MusicPort work on a backup of my iTunes database).
- Simplify Media is not Open Source
- Simplify Media work on PC, MusicPort not.
- When I tested Simplify Media for the first time (there is three of four month), a part of my database could not be shared (too much file, I think).
But, you can use Simplify Media if you like better Simplify Media ;)
It runs on PPC.
If you use musicdaemoncontroller.app to launch it it will quit automatically.
Solution:
right click on musicdaemoncontroller.app
show package contents, browse to the resources folder right click musicdaemon and choose to start it with terminal.
Probably something wrong with the jumper executable on PPC.
How is this supposed to work? I have no idea what program to launch first and how to configurate... and there is no tutorial or text file for help of course... right.

Okay, so how is this different or better than Nicecast? :)
It's like "ShareTool" (I discover the tools) but only for iTunes, less beautifull but free :p
