When I looked at the available plugins and saw a .pedia import tool I was over the moon, the whole transfer process from DVDpedia to DVD Hunter took less than 10 mins and went without a hitch. Completely painless which is rare when migrating databases.
The only criticism I have is the icon, it is truly hideous - but in the scheme of things, minor and easily changed.
This app has everything you need for a modern collection including an iOS app - and they are both free, which is unbelievable. A big thank you to the developer.

I had been using AllMyMovies for Windows before switching to the Mac but that software isn't supported.
What a great find this is. Thanks to the developer for this.

However, this app does exactly what it says, its fee, has many useful features and and does exactly what I need - keeps track of my movies.
Also, I noticed a very minor bug and emailed Joel last night. In my mailbox this morning was a terminal command to eradicate my issue.
Enough said. Thanks Joel

The companion iPhone app works well too. I only wish there were a way to sync the two without having to go through iTunes. Maybe through mobileme/icloud?
To this day though I still can't get over the wet-garbage-bag looking icon.
Keep up the great work!

Was a bit hesitant at first with DVD Hunter. But have to say, I am glad I gave it a shot. Very pleased with it.
Overall for free software, you can't really go wrong. I'll give it some usage over a few weeks. But I may even give a donation to the developer for the work with this app.
But it will depend on how it goes over the few weeks of usage.

But i have an problem to get any export (PDF, others):
If i select some Videos or an set of some, i get an blank (zero items) PDF preview (or other export).
The items look normal / as other videos in the list and detail info.

I deleted them and added them again by autocomplete. Now export works again (all ).
Each of the 4 "bad" entries looked OK in the views - dont know why they blocked all exports.

Whenever possible, I prefer to install updates from within the program. When an upgrade is announced, I'll open the program and use it's internal CHECK FOR UPDATES function.
I did that today with DVD Hunter. The update was discovered, displayed, and it asked if I wanted to install it.
It promptly displayed an error box stating: Update error! The update is improperly signed. The only option displayed was -- Cancel Update.
Now what do I do? I could replace the program with this 'update' but not sure. I do not know what an improper signature is/means.

Perhaps you have rights problems (update cant overwrite old version) ?
