Hello DAVE12345 -- We welcome you to e-mail SecureMac for technical support, the e-mail address is macsec@securemac.com. We will be glad to assist you with any issues you are having.
I've used this piece of software during a recent maintenance of my client's workstations. Out of nine workstations, low and behold I did get one positive hit. I did a little research and background check and discovered the file name was "Macvideo." The user admitted to "visiting" the MacMiniHack website, and the site was loaded with messages that had links to porn sites. He clicked on one of the links and it downloaded a "Codec" which said he needed this file to view the video files. Unfortunately, the person was also the business owner who has admin privileges and oh yea, he entered the password.
I've been going nuts for the last couple days with websites taking 10-40 seconds to load!! My father told me to run this tool and WOW!!! you have no idea what a relief it is to have the lightning fast "surfing" speed back!! No more trojan for this guy! And no more curious visits to porn links either!! hahaha ;)
