I tried to give it a higher rating but I goofed. I tried to set up an account for my new phone online and it took me forever to create an acceptable password. I tried everything I could think of, tried multiple online sites and a couple of downloaded apps. Then I remembered MacUpdate, found Password Maker, downloaded it, installed it and, poof! like magic, I had a password rated Excellent! And that's why I'm rating this app Excellent! Thank you, I was pulling my hair out! (I've only had the app for a few minutes so I can't make a helpful comment about stability.)

Works fine now on 10.4.11 (except the UI should say "Number of phonemes", not "phonomes"). Thanks for the fix!

The object that downloaded onto my desktop claims to be an application but it can't be moved, opened, or sent to the Trash. Beware of downloading this without further info from the author.

I just now checked it, download the .zip file, unzipped it, application appeared on my desktop, I dragged and dropped it and the .zip file in the trash, emptied the trash with no problems. The issue appears to be local to your machine.

I did not have any issue in unarchiving the zip file, nor moving and trashing the zip file and the resulting application file.

I have problems with this app too. First of all, I can't click on the icon at all - I can only click on the file name. I think that might be what the original commenter meant when he said it couldn't be launched, moved, etc. Second, when I do double click the name to launch, it quits immediately and generates a crash log.

You you please tell me what version of OSX your running (10.4.x or 10.5.x) and on what platform (ppc/i386)
I think that the problem is on your machine, but I'll see what I can do.

Same here. I'm on a 2GHz MacBook, 1GB RAM, running 10.4.11 and all latest Apple updates.

The app downloads and uncompresses OK, and appears OK on the Desktop. However you can't select it by single-clicking on its icon - you CAN however select it by single-clicking on its name.

Equally it doesn't open if you double-click on its icon; File->Open or double-clicking on the app's name opens it but it immediately crashes with a very short traceback:

Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS (0x0001) at 0x7541536e

I'm not sure what that means, but it looks as though there's something fundamentally wrong with the way it's built.

It should work for pre-leopard now. which should fix the problems.
