i found a solution how 'wallpaper clock' will work on multiple desktops on the mac.... :)

i work with 4 spaces (desktops).

therefore i made a copy of the program 'wallpaper clock' and renamed it to 'wallpaper clock 1'... i made one progam for each desktop.

afterward i started all the programs, so i have 4 'wallpaper clock' icons in my menu bar. now on the first screen i choose the clock i'd like. then i changed to the second screen and coos the second wallpaper clock icon to choose a clock. and the same for the other two desktops.

this gives you the same clock on all the desktops, i was not able to have a different one for each desktop. anyway, it still looks great!

hope this helps.....

Very neat, and works great. I'd love to put it on my 2nd screen tho. Is this feature gonna be implemented soon? thx

People complain too much. I can;t believe this is free, it's an awesome implementation and apps like this are usually resource "hungry".

No complaints, just an observation.

FWIW: I think this app is pretty cool. I already disabled the standard menu bar clock in favor of it.

Would be nice to have an option for choosing first or second monitor.

"doesn't use up any resources"?

On my MacBook, it consumes over 27MB of real, and nigh onto 1 GB of virtual memory. I'd like to know what hardware CYPHER is using, because I want it!

27 MB of real memory is nothing. A more relevant question would be how much CPU it is using while running.

Funny how you claim 27MB to be nothing and then worry about CPU usage for an app that changes your wallpaper once a minute.

What I meant was I didn't notice any system slow down or drag even though I am running 10.4.11 on an eMac with a measly 384Mb Ram.

Ace, doesn't use up any resources too. Thanks for this. BTW, how do you make your own clock wallpapers?

I don't think I'm revealing any great secret here, as just looking at the first few bytes of the file gives away the file type. Anyway, making clocks of your own looks relatively easy, though may take a lot of time. The .wcz file format is just a renamed .zip file (wcz=WallpaperClockZip?). Change the extension of a clock you like and unzip. You'll see a long list of mostly .png files, labeled by function (e.g. moonphase1,moonphase2, etc.), each with a small graphic in the correct location to build the overall background image. Make your own version of each graphic, edit the .ini file (also in the unzipped folder above), zip them up, and rename. You should be good to go.
