Sequoia is a reinvention of Tetris. Maneuver shapes to create coherent squares of four by four blocks without touching the screen's border! It is the world's smallest Mac OS X game. With a compressed size of only 53 KB it is smaller than most other games' icons, yet it has proven to stay fascinating even after years of playing.
Wow, this is an interesting take on the old standard. Playing this one is quite strange and wonderful actually -- you can almost feel the reorientation of your brain as the bricks fall from anywhere but the top. I'm addicted.
I think it's great Julian Meinold is learning to program, set up a web site and business. I would recommend a program like this be Donationware until it is further developed. Also, include your interest in furthering your education on the web site too. Great start, keep up the good work.
It is quite harder, as it's easier to misjudge placement of the blocks, and instead of a line, you need to get a full 4x4 block to clear any area of the screen. The blocks also seem to move faster, a lot more sooner, than Quinn, IIRC.
What I want to know is how the hell he could cram this game into 74k of space.
