ProfileMenu is a simple little application designed for creative professionals who tend to build a lot of display profiles. The application places a ColorSync menu in your menu bar that will allow you to switch between display profiles with ease, see just how old your profiles are, reset your video card's gamma LUT, and clear out ColorSync's internal profile cache when it starts acting up. Useful for troubleshooting, evaluating calibration packages, and for those times when you just want to change white points on a whim. Works with your primary display (the one where your menu bar is) only.
What's New
Version 2.1: A nigh total re-write of the ProfileMenu application that uses the all-new (and completely undocumented) ColorSync API so as to be fully compatible with Snow Leopard.
Requirements
PPC / Intel, Mac OS X 10.6 or later.

Exactly what I was looking for! I have always wondered why the os x displays menubar item didn't have this option. Anyway I am graphic designer and change my color profiles quite often so this menubar item puts them at my fingertips.
Thanks to the developer for making such a useful app for free, nice work!

I like to keep my Menu Bar items organised, so is there any way to make this item movable with the good old Command & Drag?

All my other third party Menu Bar items are movable, with one exception, Salling Clicker. I know Apple has tried to make it difficult for developers to utilise the Menu Bar, but how comes some move and some don't?

Thanks in advance,
Christian

Command-dragability is something only Menu Extras can do, and no one outside of Apple can "legally" produce Menu Extras. Some people do it anyway by relying on private APIs and cluttering your system with dirty hacks that enable them (i.e. MenuCracker), but there's no way of predicting how long these techniques will work, so I stick to the less-fragile, Apple-approved NSStatusItem API.
