As the other reviewers said, hotseating, switching sides/board, bigger piece footprint, and undo would be great!
Its more like a bug though.
Make a move, switch to, say , safari, switch back, viola, your move undone.

It'd be great if this can be improved further. First, an option to use the other side, not just the first-moving player. Multiplayer would be cool, even if it's just "hotseat" style (non-networked) games when I'm too lazy to break out the real board + pieces. Ability to save a game, when I can only play a few moves and need to go somewhere.
The drag-and-drop algorithm for pieces need to be fixed, because several times I've dropped a piece down, only to have it land to the immediate left or right of where I placed it. On some other occasions, I try to move a piece, only to end up moving a piece immediately next to it. Either fix this or implement Undo.
Movement of opponent pieces should be animated more, or there should be some other display of move history. Sometimes I can't even tell which piece the opponent moved.
In any case, a good first pass. The AI algorithm seems reasonable, but I'm a mediocre player.

There's absolutely no information included. iXiangQi's website is totally devoid of info as well.
But Googling "xiang qi" brought up a good selection of sources for useful information including detailed rules/instructions.
There's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xiangqi and
http://www.clubxiangqi.com/, for example.
