I wish there was a trial, because this looks promising. Sorry, I'm not paying $8 for an app I might trash after one use...

Why not just look out of the window?

LMAO
Well, us vampires must get to know whether there's light Outside _before_ we actually get sunburnt, y'know...! =D

Seriously now... This thing looks interesting: compact view, satellite images (I guess)...

But 5,99€ (or 7,99$) for a Crapp Store-driven... test drive is just unacceptable, although some may say "hey, it's not much".
Matter of principle to me.

Same old rant, sorry: please, Mighty Devs, oh please... Provide an alternative demo/download option

Not sure why this listing is indicating the product has been discontinued, because it's now on version 3.1.3 and is exclusively available via the Mac App Store:

While a nice beginning I tend to agree with the comments of UMIJIN abet the NOAA issues since I live in the US. It needs the ability to change background color, multiple station access, etc to entice me to toss Meteorologist. While I would like to abandon Meteorologist, strictly due to untimely fixes and seemly lack of developer interest, other than to keep the thing somewhat functional, it still seems to still be the best product out for the Mac of this venue - when it works.

Nice, but why the pink? Please make a gray option or make the colors user-selectable!

This application has replaced Meteo as my defacto menubar weather application. It feels cleaner and snappier and the new version (currently in beta) expands on it without bloating. Definitely a must have for the "current weather" conscious.

The developer is also very responsive and actively developing this application.

Once the new version comes out it will be getting all 5 stars.

Outside is a menubar app that shows you the weather for one location. You can even get detailed information about your location's weather by selecting 'get info' from the pull down menu.

Outside gets its weather from government weather stations, particularly those accessed by NOAA. Unfortunately, this limits the options available for weather - though you can sometimes find international locations. Furthermore, these stations tend to be located at airports, which don't really reflect the weather in municipal locations. I live in Tokyo, but the Narita airport location is far outside the city. The temperatures and other variables are not very accurate.

Although the icons are clean, and the font for temperature easy to read - this application pales in comparison to another free menubar app - Meteorologist, aka Meteo. Updating of some weather stations also seems to take quite long compared to Meteo.

Outside also lacks the ability to access multiple locations, and forecasts/current condition details from the pull down menu - all which are present in Meteorlogist.

Although Meterologist has some problems (changes in weather server data format sometimes break the app), I don't see any reason to use Outside instead at this point.

Note that the review is for version 1.0.1. The current version 3.x is a different story...

Not everyone can determine the outside temperature by looking through a window.
