Of course, Araxis Merge is more comparable with Delta Walker, but much more expensive. Plus Araxis Merge integrates nicely with Araxis Find Duplicate Files. While DeltaWalker is cheaper, I find Araxis' products to be superior.

DeltaWalker will not connect to the remote server using SFTP, a Solaris box. I can connect to that server with standard ssh connections, and any of several FTP/SFTP tools I have.
I did raise this issue with Deltopia, and they were quick to respond and eager to help. They wanted to test with our server. I could not give them access to our internal server, for various reasons. The problem was never resolved because I did not, and still do not, have time to chase it down.
So, it's a nice product, but one of the key reasons for my use does not work.

It appears that DeltaWalker doesn't support Apple's Pages at all.
Nowhere does the documentation address this, nor can I even find it DeltaWalker can compare two files of different formats.
Anyone know?

It's definitely the problem of the obscure/convenient text formats. Try and have a look inside a 'plain, simple' rtf document - it's chockfull with obstacles for a character-wise comparison.

As described in the DeltaWalker help and on our web site, DeltaWalker currently can extract and compare text from all main Office document types - Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as Adobe PDF documents. iWork Pages and RTF formats are currently not supported in that way, i.e. they can still be compared, however their markup will be shown as Thyx observed.
One can mix and match any of the supported formats as one pleases i.e. one can load a Word document in one of the editors and a PDF or an Excel document in the other and they'll be compared as text.
It is correct that neither the help nor the web site lists the non-supported formats - I hope you would agree that attempting to do so can easily become impractical.

I use it mainly to maintain synchronized my own files created on 2 different startup partitions. Deltawalker is more easy to use and faster than Tri-Backup i am [was] also using.
More features like "users templates" for specific folders and/or files synchronization would be nice. Something like MacOS X intelligent folders.
