alphaomega software is plain terrible. Besides most of the apps being truly useless as the end result can be accomplished with leopard's built in features as listed below, their apps are terribly expensive and are ugly and don't even perform well. They just strikeout on every app they have ever attempted.

@AO - Quit making software or focus on ONE project and make it a decent app instead of having 20 useless ones. Sorry, the truth hurts.

Disk Utility > File > New Image from Folder

Select 128 or 254 bit encryption. It's fast, free and totally supported by Apple.

why not just use Carbon Copy Cloner? it's free.

When the backup is finished it can for example automatically shut down the computer.
It displays the remaining time during the backup.
You can cancel the backup when it's in progress.
It doesn't need any installation which makes it very easy to use.
