Logitech 5-button users: Set iVol as an app specific in the Logitech control panel, set wheel scroll as volume control for that app only. Then control volume by hitting the app switching button to iVol, then scroll!

Dear users,

Please remember to enable the mouse wheel as the "Button 3" in "System Preferences"->Mouse->Keyboard & Mouse->"Mouse" tab.

Happy scrolling!

Same here. MacBook, Mac OS X 10.4.10, Mighty Mouse USB. Neither holding down the scroll ball nor holding down SHIFT changes the volume when scrolling.

I downloaded and installed. Did not work. Nothing happened when using my scroll wheel or any of the buttons or keys suggested.
I am using an iMac, OS 10.4.9 and a logitch wireless mouse.

This is exactly what I did - held down the scroll wheel while turning it. Nada.

There is no button 3 choice for the mouse in system preferences, just right and left.
It might also be the problem that I am using a Logitech mouse, wireless, and the scroll wheel functions when pressed. Interference?
