Works great with my Huawei E1550 modem. All is great, but i'd like to see a better received data control. For example an option to set time when data is not counted. I have unlimited downloads from midnight to 8 in the morning and from 8 to the midnight i have 10 GB for whole month. Now this app just has an option to warn when specific amount is reached, but ti counts all traffic (day and night).
So much better than the software that cam with my modem. I use this with '3' in the UK. The only problem is if the modem disconnects because of a bad signal, the software doesn't detect this that well. A re-launch has always fixed the problem for me.
This is excellent. Far better than the very poor Huawei programme supplied by my ISP which demands an Administrator password every time one makes a connection.
This application fails to work on my MacBook Pro using Huawei drivers version 2.7
Similar as described by a previous poster, it will not display any useful data and - much worse than that - occasionally BLOCK internet trafic on the HUAWEI device AND on WIFI, even when not activited.
All problems were fixed, once I removed CheetahWatch from my computer.
You may wait with installation until this issue has been fixed
This application does not interact with WIFI at all - if you had problems with your Wifi connection while CheetahWatch is on your system, then your problems are unrelated - do you have firewall software installed that might be getting confused? I have had no reports of it interfering with internet traffic. How are you establishing your connection? Feel free to contact me via email.
As to displaying data - it relies on the modem providing this information. Some versions of either the firmware on the modem or the Mac OS X driver do not provide this information, or do not provide it in the expected way.
My modem works fine and I've got internet but this application doesn't show the signal, stregnth etc like it should. All I get is just a dotted line and a 'W' or sometimes an 'H' next to it in the menu bar.

When clicking on the menubar item I get the spinning wheel for up to a minute. Always have to connect via the Network Prefs.
