What's New
Version 5.0: I have completely rewritten the old 'Lizenzen' application.
- You can now affix those stupid license files and add an application icon with a single click.
- Icons are now stored as small .png files - so even when you own hundreds of apps the database will be small and your Mac won't work up a sweat…
- There is also no difference anymore between the portable and the normal version - you can use this new app in both modes and even sync with your iDisk (Dropbox) if needed…
- You can simply update from any previous version or backup file…

You can find a "free" version of myapps, which performs a similar function, but it only works for 7 registrations. When you type in the 8th registration, it tells you in the nicest sort of way to buy the real myapps program or live with 7 registrations.
I got annoyed and decided to avoid products from mownapp.com for a while.

As explained directly beside the 'import-license-file-button' you can affix those stupid license files if needed and for not to touch the original they will be copied (and you can also select a custom path if needed)!
Of course if you copy the complete application instead of a single 3kb license file it may cause trouble!
And what I really do not understand is why people having problems are not able drop a line, so I can help???

I've been using that program which automatically imports your apps, including icons, and lets you save lots of metadata about the app, including registration and/or serial # info. You can also export your licenses. and it's free!

- "Übersicht drucken" (print overview) prints only the visible license, not all of them; an export function (to txt or csv) would be useful as well
- the file where the licences are stored should really be encrypted
- sometimes licences come as a small file, so it should be possible to attach a file to a database entry
- when I can enter e-mail and url I expect to be able to click them in the "Übersicht" (overview)
- the grabICON app (cute!) should remember the last paths used
- possibility to enter prices in different currencies; a small currency calculator wouldn't harm :-)
- also I'm not sure I want a program that stores my licences to ever connect to the internet, not even for an update check...
Of course it's free so no complaints there.
Btw, check out the developers other apps, there are a lot of small gems there!
My Goal is to creat very small apps and very reduced apps - so there are not many features :-)

The first time you start the app - you are asked to allow an internet connection - so you can say no :-)
Curreny Calculator? I dont understand the need for that? I only pay in one? (Maybe I cant see the point of view?)

As I wrote, I really appreciate your small programs! I think having the option to print a full list and not just one item and making the hyperlinks clickable wouldn't bloat it.
I purchase some programs in Euro and some in US$, most shops list the prices in US$ (now that I look them up to enter the prices), but of course my Credit Card Company charged me in Euro...; A currency converter isn't neccessary, but I'd prefer to be able to enter the currency.
As for the encryption; I'm just not comfortable with having all licences stored in one file without any protection. I think a small password based encryption would suffice.
