On my PowerMac w/ Leopard 10.5.8

This update causes the app to hang temporarily at launch and periodically with use thereafter.

If it helps get this sorted out;
I'm getting this message in System console: [0x0-0x2b02b].net.mactips-lib.aLaunch[773] aLaunch: unknown type name "ICN#". "l8mk". "il32". "icl8". "icl4". "ics#". "s8mk". "is32". "ics8".
"ics4" .
Thanks for a great app!

aLaunch does exactly what I'm looking for, but it's a pain to use it. Why? It constantly crashes and locks up (version 4.1). Most importantly, I have twenty apps listed and it's using 68mb of memory - this is unacceptable for a menubar launcher, which should use at most 10mb (in my opinion). This memory usage is higher than Dropbox, which is syncing 48gb and over 10,000 files. Also, it shows "Recent Apps" at the top of the menu, even though I've turned "Recent Apps" off (turning it on doesn't enable it either). If these problems were corrected, I'd have no problem giving it five stars.

A setup of a previous version,
Please change "net.mactips-lib.aLunch.plist" in a /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder into "net.mactips-lib.aLaunch.plist".

Clean and simple launcher. Works fine for me in Leopard and Snow Leopard.

I do have and use PathFinder and it has a similar launcher as an option, HOWEVER, its global menu icons and text are too small and can NOT be changed like other parts of PathFinder.

Alunch works fine, although I do think aLunch is a strange name. Why not call it aLaunch or iLaunch?

aLaunch is easy to set up and use. I rely on heavily and it has never let me down. With over 200 applications and counting scrolling through my Applications folder is a bit overwhelming. aLaunch allows me to group applications that I commonly use into manageable categories making it easy to access them quickly. Highly recommended.

I use aLunch dozens of times a day. What an amazingly powerful and versatile program -- for free!The only thing I may use more often during the day is A-Dock, which I also highly recommend.

Thank you, developer, for this amazing gift to Mac users!

I don't know what is wrong with this application on my system. Until now i was unable to test it cause it keep crashing on startup after the first configuration.
Downloaded the updated version to see what changed. Nothing. Crash on startup after the first config.

Oh well! I use Quicksilver all the time anyway...
