This is an amazing OSX utility.
I always install it any OS I use and couldn't work without it.
It should be part of the Apple MacOS system itself.
A brillant piece of software, kudos to the programmer(s)!
A lot of options, great app. But not all working ok (for me). Not working option "Don't remap external keyboards" - in my case Apple Pro keyboards A1048 and M7803. Why i need this? As Quark user i want functionality of F13 key on MacBook Pro. There is an option to change Eject key to F13 and it works when i'm "mobile" but this remaps my Eject key on my external keyboards also when MacBook works ad workstation with big external monitor and keyboard. In this case i can't shut down with cmd-opt-ctrl-eject (or restart with cmd-ctrl-eject). If someone have any idea how make it working please let me now, ill be very appreciate.
Thank you for the free software that finally allows me to use my logitech n305 wireless numberpad (which when i bought logitech claimed it would work on their website, then they pulled that info after i enquired why it did not work... that was over 2 years ago now)
i will explore all the other features but for remapping logitech wireless numperpads it works perfectly
As I mentioned below, I'm currently using this to remap my broken Up arrow to Right Shift. Thus, I'd be stuck without a working Up arrow if this isn't compatible yet...
Had a friend confirm that this works under 10.6.3. Upgraded myself, worked fine, and then got pushed a new version of KeyRemap. No problems with that either.
Great to see my favorite Vi mode. Unbeatable key re-mapper. Look at the sky and you will see five more stars in there! (Don't believe me? Start counting!)
Absolutely indispensable for me at the moment. The up arrow on my out-of-warranty MacBook Pro recently broke. I've remapped right shift to take its place, which works flawlessly.
I'm waiting on Nehalem-based MBPs to show up before getting a new laptop, so this lets me save money on an overpriced keyboard part until that happens.
The layout in Preferences is a bit convoluted, but it is rather powerful once you dig around a bit; thus, I have to give this 4 stars in "Ease of Use", with everything else being a solid 5. I'd give it a 10 overall if I could.
Thanks again for saving me $75+ on a new keyboard!
[Version 6.5]
