Whoohoo - this is the great game of Tangram put into a beautiful, true Mac application. What else is there to say?
To all yawners: go, play Nintendo...
Well, different strokes, etc.
I, too, would have to say that Septavo Tangram is boring all the way around. And its $20 price is too high.
However, for those of us who like to play with ourselves, Solavant, from the same developer, IS an excellent solitaire app, replete with games galore. Very well done and worth its $27.
But Septavo Tangram? A big, big yawn I'm afraid. Sorry.
Would you mind explaining if its tangram games, as such, that you consider being boring, or is it *this* implementation of the game (Septavo Tangram), that you find boring? And if it's the latter, please explain what you're missing.
I'm not the developer of this app. I'm just, mind you, getting somewhat confused when I see ratings like this one, as it doesn't really target down, what the real issue with the game might be.
This is a great puzzle game from the developer of Solavant. The game interface is very elegant and simple (avoiding flashy and cartoony set pieces and backgrounds), making Tangrams solving on your mac as fun as it can be. The mechanics of the game are nicely done with a snap-to-grid function that allows for easy placement of the pieces. There is no timer, you play as many puzzles as you like at the time (amongst the impressive number of 1000 puzzles!) making it a great game to kill your time between tasks or when you need to take a small break from work. When you're stuck on a puzzle there is a progressive hint system that makes your life a bit easier but ruins your stats! ;-) Finally each puzzle is numbered, so you can mark your favorites and share with friends.
From the game itself to the graphics.... bland, bland, bland. Just didn't hold my interest at all.
I think that Septavo Tangram reflects a total lack of imagination and creativity on the part of its developers.
And NO WAY is this game worth anywhere near its $20 price...maybe $5, but only if you find it interesting. On second thought, it should be a freebie. For 20 bucks I expect a game to wow me. This turkey puts me to sleep.
Yawwwnnnn....well, goodnight....see ya all in the mornin'. Oh, it is mornin...must be that soporofic game called Septavo...Septavo...whatever....
