NOAA Weather Center... A new, powerful, and fun way to get all the weather information you need. Just enter your address, city, or zip code and you get instant access to forecasts, current conditions, animated radar, and important weather alert bulletins. All of the data comes straight from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Weather Service for the United States.
What's New
Verison 1.2: Fixes for broken 7-day forecast, also loads forecast faster now. Internal code changes that reduced clutter and file size.
Very Nice. Doesn't take up too much of the screen. I think it depends on weather.gov which may make it appear sluggish when it is actually loading new info. I would like to see county outlines on the radar.
Ver 1.2 leaks memory big time. I'm frequently using Activity Monitor (I'm on Tiger 10.4.11) to quit the process, as it's consuming a couple hundred MB, when it starts out at under 30 MB.
Forecasts are no longer working (spinning radar disks forever) as of sometime last week, though current conditions, radar and alerts still work. Did NOAA perhaps change the SOAP query/response format for multi-day forecasts? I can still get 7-day forecasts for the same location at NOAA's website, forecast.weather.gov.
Doesn't work for me, 10.4.10, Intel. I enter a zip code or city, and the first time I click "Done" it animates a flip, but it just flips to the back where it already was. After that, click "Done" or hitting "Enter" does nothing.
