MacFusion overview

MacFusion is an open source Mac application that allows you to work with files on servers across the internet, as if they were sitting on your computer. Macfusion presents a Volume in Finder, letting you use your favorite Mac applications to work with them. Macfusion works with SSH/SFTP and FTP servers.

More generally, Macfusion is a front-end to MacFUSE software. Macfusion provides a plugin API to enable the creation of plugins for other FUSE filesystems.

Can't seem to get it working in OS X Yosemite 10.10 - it crashes just trying to set up a server or remove a server, and never mounted anything.

OSX Fuse 2.3.2 + MacFusion 2.0.4 fails to read/write files via sshfs. It could mount the volume, but many operations did not work because of "no privilege to read", while I could move/delete remote files.

If you upgrade your MacFuse to this *BETA* release: http://www.tuxera.com/mac/macfuse-core-10.5-2.1.9.dmg And sshfs is at this version: http://osxbook.com/download/sshfs/sshfs-static-leopard.gz Then it should work fine in Lion, but it is BETA software, so you install it at your own risk, but so far so good for me.

We are using it on Snow Leopard 10.6.4 It was installed with the latest version of Paralles. I would assume that means we have the latest version of MacFusion??? Here is a sample of the Error message we are getting when we try to copy something to the drive or save something to it. "The Finder can't complete the operation because some data in “c12_t2_p000.jpg” can't be read or written. (Error code -36)" Any ideas on what is happening here?

I am trying to mount an externat drive mounted to a dedicated IP. The drive a WesternDigital ShareSpace. Trying to mount as a shared drive using FTP. I am able to mount the drive successfully and can see all my folders. The MAJOR PROBLEM is that everything is "read only", cannot save any files to the drive. We are able to save files to the drive via an FTP utility, as well as mount the drive via a Windows computer. We are also able to mount the drive and read/write to the drive if we are connected to the local network. Got excited when we tested it locally and worked, but failed remotely. Anyone have a solution? Really thought MacFusion would be the answer. Mac OS: 10.5.8

Will mount a server in 10.6.3, but with serious permissions problems which can prevent both downloads and uploads. Un-mounting, mounting doesn't solve the issue. Great idea but still fraught with problems.

Is this app available anymore? The macfusionapp.org web site seems to be not only down, but non-existent anymore. DNS Lookup doesn't even report an IP address for the domain anymore. Any site hosting the latest version of this?
