Still waiting for a 0.3 Mac port. Looks like, as others said, Apple should spend a few days of 2 to 3 heavy guys to push that game forward...

Works a treat even as partly implemented in 10.4.10. This game has great potential, nice sounds and atmospherics: good enough to play around in and very stable.

Without any OS X contributors to this open source project, don't expect quick updates of any OS X version. Yes, where is 0.3 for OS X?

You'd think that Apple could spare a head or two to make packages for OS X. It's a cheap way to add titles for the platform. How about it, Mr. Jobs? Anyone?

In time this will be a great game, but at the moment it's obviously in beta and very clunky. Instructions would be good as I'm not a submariner by trade and it took me a while to figure out what I should be doing. The radar map needs some explanation, and although I found I could zoom out, I was unable to find any way to zoom back in and had to quit. When I finally managed to torpedo a ship, the game crashed and quit. The music is great but there needs to be some way to turn it off. The GUI is brilliant and the whole game has a great feel. I can't wait for future developments.

We can't get it to run on our PowerBook G4, with 10.4.11. What are we doing wrong?
Thanks. Please e-mail.

Downloaded dftd tonight.

I got it to work on my old G4 powerbook running OS 10.4.11

Make sure you select 1024 x 768 in the resolution window.

Hope it works for you.

It's a fun sim, but clunky as one review said.
radar screen needs more info.
Couldn't zoom back in either.

Still had fun trying to figure it out though.

GL.

DftD has even been reported to work on: * Windows (2000/XP/98) * Linux (i386/x86-64/sparc64) * FreeBSD (x86-64/sparc64/IA64) * MacOS X (ppc64) This game is planned as tactical simulation and will be as realistic as our time and knowledge of physics allows. It's current state is ALPHA, but it is playable. If anyone want's to contribute in development, you're welcome, just email the dangerdeep-devel mailing list. Contributing binary packages for various platforms would also be much appreciated.
