From some of the boards I have been on, there are MANY Mac users in the same boat. We can't go above 10.4.11 and use PPC's.....NOT Intel...so we are basically screwed out of anything new or updated. What developers apparently don't get, is that there are millions of us in this boat. Way more than those using Leopard/Snow Leopard and/or Intel... Oh well...
PLEASE, if Dave reads this... I think you have many people that would love to see an update to this.. Seems that Mac community is pretty much left in the dirt when it comes to front ends and ports of MAME. :(
Thanks!

Same devs as MacMAME: No.
Which is better: MacMAME has apparently ceased development, the last release is years old. MAME OS X is under current development. Check the developer's website.

First, I'd like to thank you for keeping this going. This is great!
One questions I have is whether or not their is an option to consolidate the list to only the ROMs stored in the ROMs folder?
To remedy this in the meantime, I've tried simply "favoriting" the ROMs I do have, but they won't all stay in the favorite list. Is there a sure way to keep these ROMs "favorited" at startup?
Another question/suggestion I have is I've noticed that some games audio is much much lower than others. Is there an option I'm overlooking (similar to iTunes soundcheck) that will make all games the same level. If not, I think this would be a great thing to implement. I don't know if it's something easy to do, but I don't remember differences in audio levels in the past using macmame.
I've also noticed that those same select games that play at lower volumes are the same that occasionally unexpectedly quit at the startup. But the times they do startup fine, they run perfectly with no further unexpected quits during gameplay (just the volume issue). Is there something on my end that may be causing this, or is this a typical prob?
Again, thanks for keeping this going.
Great work
anyone have any answers?
