I guess I just see no reason why you wouldn't just use TextEdit already installed on your computer? It's as powerful or as lightweight as you want and free. Also has a much nicer interface. Plus for being as extremely simple as this is, there are still bugs (click new twice with a window already open). Kind of pointless unless it brings at least 1 feature that TextEdit doesn't have.

This version is over three years old and I am not developing NovoEdit anymore. Unfortunately, when I transferred the files to a new server and updated the links in MacUpdate, it was interpreted as a new version. I apologize for any inconvenience.

It's very simple, and I personally wouldn't use it but it's really not that bad. It's really lightweight and clean. I don't know if you're a new programmer or not, but I guess that doesn't really matter.
