Twitteromatic... Annoy & Amaze Your Twitter Friends with Twitteromatic, now in beta or alpha or gamma (who can keep track of software anymore) will post the following useless information as a Twitter "tweet" with the push of a button: weather (U.S. only, sorry), secret word of the day, current uptime, Firefox and Safari current URL, lotto numbers, currently playing iTunes track, and "On This Day In History." Twitteromatic also pulls the Twitter login information right from your Mac OS keychain! You will be instantly hated and forced off of Twitter, so, give it a whirl today--it will be freeware
What's New
Version 1.5 adds Growl support and turns the program into a menubar item.
Requirements
PPC / Intel, Mac OS X 10.4 or later, Intel or PPC.
I d/l'ed this app, and I am very happy with it's ability to *manually* send the occasional iTunes track out as Twitter message.
BUG: If the Title or Artist contains an "&", the app stops the message right there.
E.g. if one tries to send the following song,
Silver & Gold (When I Get Like This) by The Detroit Cobras, Twiiteromatic simply sends "Silver" as the song info.
The developer is very hard to reach, no feedback links available from his blogger sites used as their main site.
Please consider fixing this bug, otherwise I think the app is solid, fun, and worth the install.
