A couple of years ago, I bought this program in the version without expiration paying $ 99, I do not regret at all, I have served me extremely useful in my business, I thank the creators of making one of the best translators . It's simple to use, comes with many dictionaries included, support and enhancements that make continuing, is a 100% recommended.

Das Programm ist mit jedem Update schlechter geworden. Die für mich so wertvolle Volltextübersetzung ist nun auch noch völlig verschwunden. Damit habe ich wieder einmal ein bezahltes Programm verloren.
Warnung: Nicht mehr kaufen!

Sorry. TranslateIt! is dictionary software not for text translation.
Text translation always has awful results.
Please, remember, text translation was just free add-on.
Based on free service. After many user requests, we just included it to TI with disclaimer about its free nature to improve integration. But Google closed free service in December '11.
We wanna detach removed code to standalone free app at all.
Maybe we will move to Microsoft API - there is a free plan with limited characters per month. Stay tuned.

THE NEW UPDATE DECREASES THE QUALITY OF THE SOFTWARE SUBSTANTIALLY:

I have been using this brilliant software BUT with this latest update, the software is losing substantial value: No more text translation window. This is so annoying!

I don't get the strangely low rating here... TranslateIt has always worked well for me and is getting better with each update. Its ability to import and convert almost every type of free dictionary is just awesome.

I bought this a while back and use it for help in learning Spanish. The floating question mark is beyond annoying. The online documentation is poor in my opinion and the pronunciation 50-50. The test translation is not always right. Sometimes it mixes up the words. I paid $35. I do get some use out of it but I wouldn't buy it again. It is not a bad product - it is just not as good as it should be. Be sure to try it first.

Yes, we always recommend to do test drive first!
Starting from version 12.5. here is Firefox and Thunderbird support
plus advanced restrictions for on-tye-fly translation!
You must give a new chance to TranslateIt!

I like how you can drift across a word and a balloon shows the translation, unfortunately it became irritating quickly and while playing with its cube approach to preferences (which is cute, but a pain) the balloons kept getting in the way. I really wanted a text translator, so I copy/pasted a paragraph from an email a Russian friend sent me ... The translation attempt was so-so and looked identical to what google will produce.
Bottom line is that Google give me same text translation for free.
Oh, I have Little Snitch (great product) running and it tells me this product wants to chat out way too much. I removed TranslateIt and was amazed when Hazel (another great product) told me how much this app had installed on my Mac.
