EasyWMV can be used to convert or resize wmv, asf, avi, m4v, mp4, mpg, mpeg, mov, flv, nsv, swf, real media and vob video files so that they can be used with QuickTime Player, Apple TV, iPhone and iPods. EasyWMV has a very simple user interface, supports drag and drop as well as batch processing. EasyWMV can export video to mpeg and mpeg4 formats and can optimize videos for playback on iPod.

Downloaded and paid for version 1.5.1 to convert large swf file to Quicktime so that I could edit. EasyWMV was simple to setup and operate, but it failed at the same point every time (432K of a large 120MB file). I must credit the coder, however. I received a prompt reply to my request for help. The suggestion to try another swf file was a good one, however it also failed. This time, the Quicktime video was created, but only with audio. The coder offered a refund which I accepted. If the coder is able to make this work, I would definitely try again, considering the excellent customer service.

For simple tasks it is ok. But it lacks advanced features compared to Handbrake and iFFMPEG. And has too few codecs.

simple app, no idea why the video quality is so much worse compared to Visual Hub at similar settings.

Very efficient application.

WORKS EVEN ON INCOMPLETE MOVIES (avis, torrent files) that VisualHub or D-Vison (both excellent softwares) cannot open (not to mention VLC).

EasyWMV is lightyears ahead of the buggy CoolWmaWmv.

I regret, though, that the preferences cannot be saved (eg the quality of the output).

Unfortunately CoolWmaWmv simply doesn't work. Check the Ratings and Reviews. I gave up after trying it. Stick to something else is my opinion.

If this program could convert Real Media video files, I'd buy it in a second. I have yet to find any program that can tackle those.

What, exactly, is that same one that's for free? By the way, I've found EasyWMV to work just fine.

I cannot believe that this app really supports VOB as input files. Any VOB file I throw on it result in an "error" comment.
Maybe the developer can shed any light on this?

Problem might be that your vob files are using 5:1 sound which is not yet supported by EasyWMV... It will come in a future version.

There are currently no troubleshooting comments. If you are experiencing a problem with this app, please post a comment.
