MyMahj is a user-friendly solitaire Mahjong game in 2D and 3D. The purpose of the game is to clear the screen of tiles by clicking on two identical tiles (or two seasons or flowers). Only exposed tiles can be removed at any given moment. A tile is exposed if there is no tile over it, and if there is empty space on its left or right side.

What's New

Version 4.1d:

[GL] Display Lists are replaced by Vertex Array and Vertex Buffer Object.
New icon, with high resolution graphics for Leopard and Vista.
Added a default button in the dialog boxes.
The game can be installed in a path with unicode characters.

Does anyone know how to reset the "Hall of Fame"? I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, but the high scores remain, most inexplicably, in tact.

Ok... my problem is that I'm hooked on this game. I love it, but if I keep spending this much time playing it, I'll need to join a support group. LOL Thanks for designing and creating this program. It's great.

Cool look. I preffer the 2D version. The goofy sounds are annoying, though, but you can change (or mute) them). Cool app.

Great game! I like the 3D version, it helps to visualize the tile positions. Used on a Mac Pro OS X 10.4.9.

I'm a registered owner of Mahjong Solitaire, and it's a great program. But I have to say, MyMahj is a very nice alternative, especially considering the price. The graphics and options are good. If you like this kind of game, then give this a try.

I agree with Dogbert1. I tried downloading from Apple's game site, then came here to try it again. Neither site will download the game. I'd love to have it, and hope this can be fixed soon.

I just now downloaded the file, no problems at all. The downloaded .dmg file opened normally.

I just downloaded it from the mirror site and it downloaded without a problem. Just FYI, when I tried here, the page just reloaded itself. The mirror site worked perfectly. I'll be happy to post a review later. Thanks to MacUpdate Administrator.

I'm using the new Firefox, version 3.0.1. I've had a few "issues" with Safari 3.1.2 and a few web sites. When I need to download, I typically go to Firefox. This was unusual because I tried and failed initially on my download from both MacUpdate and Apple's web site for games. FYI, I get most things from MacUpdate, but was just browsing at Apple when I found the game. For more information, I'm on a G5, 3 GHz with 3.5 GB of RAM, and using OS 10.4.11 currently.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe if you'd have used Safari (Version 3.1.2 (4525.22) in 10.4.11, that is what I use and what our site is 'optimized' for) the download would've worked. I'll mention to the person in charge of such things that maybe Firefox needs to be looked at regarding how it reacts to our hosted download links, My Mahj is a 'special' link as it is hosted here on our server, most download links here at MacUpdate point to the developer's server.

i downloaded the game because i really like this kind of puzzling. But i played it once fine and then the application never ran again... i tried to reinstall it and some thing happens. I have to force quit application everytime i try tu run it.

Can you detail your problem ?

There is two versions of MyMahj in the DMG file : 2D and GL (in 3D using OpenGL) which one is causing problem ?

If the 2D version runs fine, maybe you have a problem with your graphic card (drivers, lack of video ram, ...).

Are you running MyMahj from the DMG or did you copy the MyMahj folder in you applications folder ?

What are your system specs ? (Mac OS X version, graphic card, ...)

well, i have a new mackbook pro 2.16ghz with 1gb ram. and both 2d and 3d versions of the game don´t work properly. I copied the dmg in app folder

Don't copy the dmg. Open the dmg, and copy the application inside it over to your Applications folder.

It might be a corrupted preference file, otherwise. Dig around inside ~/Library/Preferences/ for this application's preference file, and drag it to the trash. Then try running the app again.
