Absolutely perfect. This is exactly what I was looking for. I need to tame the a sparse-bundle image which I am using with Super Duper simple mirroring backup. It's a single copy backup so I don't care about multiple versions of the files and it always does simple full copy, no delta backup. However, the spareimage bundle grows in size if the backup is bigger and it doesnt go back to shrinking when the backup gets smaller.

This utility is perfect. I would have to otherwise use HDUTIL COMPACT every time and most of the time I mess up the file path so I end up typing it out in terminal over and over till I get it right.

With this here, you just drop the image and the script does the thing. Wonderful.

Here is another utility, not free and takes a few steps to get the same thing done. DropDMG.
