Version 1.1.3:
Fixed a problem selecting a category in the organize window with Mac OS X 10.5.5.
There are a host of launchers beyond QuickSilver. DragThing is highly configurable. Overflow also works nicely. And if you want a free one that's pretty decent, try Launcher (http://personalpages.tds.net/~brian_hill/launcher.html).
More interface ideas are always a good thing, but it seems like this could have been built as a plugin for Quicksilver -- even one that you charge for.
I'll certainly give it a shot, but Quicksilver is actually pretty straight-forward to setup, so saying that Valet is "nearly zero configuration" isn't much of a selling point.
Also, I'd contend that, ignoring the attention-leveraging bit, Todos provides a more straight forward install and use.
I'll still give this one a go, but I doubt I'll shell out $25 for it.
Quicksilver is a great application, but its not the target audience for Valet. Valet requires almost no configuration. It watches as you launch applications and allows you to file them in user defined categories. It's not meant to compete with QuickSilver or Butler.
And Valet is fun. Telling your computer what to do is a blast. :-)

As previous poster said: Quicksilver is the only launcher you will ever need, and it's FREE!!
I second that, Quicksilver beats all other launchers hands down!
