Wanted: more seamless integration with CocoaModem although it is almost there.

After getting back on the air after five years, I decided to get with it and go to electronic logging. My ol' Icom 751A has the capability to provide rig control information, so thought I'd give Aether a try. After an unsuccessful attempt to get the frequency and mode to work, I emailed the author, Andrew Madsen. To my surprise, I received a quick reply with instructions on how to invoke the debug log and send it to him for his review. By the next day I had a new beta with rig control working. Now, that's support!
The application performs very well, has lots of features (see aetherlog.com) and makes logging a breeze. It even works perfectly well for contests.
Other apps for the Mac are more expensive, way overkill with features, and in my case didn't even work with my rig. If you want good software, written by someone who cares, is appropriately priced, and has superior support, look no further... it's Aether.

No updates now for more than 9 months, and they are needed to bring this product up to needed capability.
Some of the needed improvements include: ability to save window settings; keep notes window floating on top; log off times; better handling of roundtables and nets. There are many other features that competitors offer, but if I could just get these then I'd stick with Aether. Without them, I have to move on to a more capable but uglier and more difficult product.
I'm very disappointed with the total lack of updates following payment. Save your money!
