This application is advertised as open-source, but I cannot find the source code for it.

Either make the source available or change how it's described.

To view the source code enter the following command in the Terminal :

cat /sbin/additemtodock

Finally!! I've been waiting a long time for someone to write this program. I can now easily add a post install scripts to my custom packages without having to stuff around with plist files.
