Sosume is a falling blocks game which is ever so slightly similar to that well known game owned by the Tetris Company.
It's a fairly 'no frills' version of the aforementioned falling blocks game, with responsive controls and a clean interface to maximize gameplay. Features include:
Hardware accelerated OpenGL graphics
Tuneable movement speeds for the hardcore player
Connectivity to the Simian Games server for global high scores.

With the addition of automatically pausing when the game is not the active application, undo, and the shadow piece, plus someone's advice on how to get the pieces to snap to the edge the feature set and playability has been much improved.
2 things, you cannot program arrow keys to move pieces and there is no "hold" piece
other than that this is great
-quinn is pretty good but all the fancy animation and stuff ruins it. all they update is network play, which is useless to me. this is more fun, faster paced, and a better game.
It's great to have another Universal Binary version of the classic "falling blocks game". The other UB version of the "falling block game" that can be found here on MacUpdate, Quinn, is currently in beta and has a couple bugs, but has a few more features also. One of the features is a shadow piece that shows where the block would end up if you dropped it. Most times I just watch the shadow. It also automatically pauses the game if it is no longer the active application. Another is the way it'll snap the blocks to the side instead of clicking it over step by step if the key is held for more than a fraction of a second. It has an undo feature too. It also has network play, including Bonjour support. A couple of the fun features it has is custom blocks and backgrounds. All that being said it appears that the development of the UB version of Quinn has stalled. An updated version hasn't been released since 8/31/06. I mention it's features because I hope that the developer of Sosume considers adding some of them.
If you set the key repeat rate to max (in the prefs) and make the delay short, it'll effectively "snap" the pieces to the side when you hold down left/right.
