PhotoCard is divided into three sections - a template list, your message, and your photo. Select the template from the panel on the left of the user interface. Add more templates by dragging and dropping them into this panel. Add your photo by dragging and dropping it into the centre part of the UI window. Finalize your card by typing your message into the text input field, located at the bottom of the UI. Edit your text for font, size, colour and alignment.
Adjust the zoom factor of your photo using the slider control at the top of the UI. Click and drag the photo to position it inside the PhotoCard. When you are satisfied with your card, use the "File->Export PhotoCard..." menu option to save it to disk. Or "Copy/Paste->Copy PhotoCard to Clipboard" to copy your PhotoCard and paste it into an email message.

Photocard is free and open source. I'm looking for artists that want to contribute new templates for the upcoming Christmas holiday.

The templates should be categorized into groups on the window, e.g. birthday,xmas etc.
Google images, e.g. for "birthday", download and resize to 640x400. Put the resized images in user/library/PhotoCard/templates

The only thing missing is an easy way to move the text, as sometimes the default position does not work well with some templates. But it's fully usable and useful! Kudos to the developers. Thanks a lot!
