Saf-T Dance saves your currently opened tabs in Safari and allows you to restore the saved tabs in case of a crash or need to quit Safari.

This is a simple Applescript application with a simple purpose... to add Session Saving to Safari. The other popular Mac browsers all have ways to keep track of open tabs in case of a crash or a need to close the application. As much as I like the other browsers, I keep coming back to Safari for all the "little details" it gets right that others ignore. After many occasions of losing important tabs by a crash, or having to bookmark a bunch of tabs in order to close Safari for more...

  • Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later
  • Access for Assistive Devices must be enabled (even works with Safari 3 Beta)

Works as advertised! Hopefully the next version of Safari will be able to save sessions -- until that day arrives, this is the next best thing that I have found.

As the ReadMe states, turn on "access for assistive devices" by going to the System Preferences -> Universal Access -> and clicking the checkbox.

Does what it says. Certainly adds value to Safari. TNX for your work!

Please read the ReadMe file before using. It clearly states that one must "Enable access for assistive devices" in Universal Access in System Preferences before this will work.

App fails frequently with "NSReceiverEvaluationScriptError: 4"

Did you "Enable access for assitive devices" in Universal Access in System Preferences? If not, this causes the NSReceiver 4 error. If so, please give details about which OS version and Safari version.
