EasyTAG is a utility for viewing and editing tags for MP3, MP2, MP4/AAC, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, MusePack and Monkey's Audio files. Its simple and nice GTK+ interface makes tagging easier under GNU/Linux/OSX or Windows.

For more detail on EasyTag, visit http://easytag.sourceforge.net.

This version of EasyTag is packaged with Platypus (http://www.sveinbjorn.org).

If everytime you run the app a xterm window shows up, edit /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc to comments out the line that launch xterm. If that doesn't help, try editing the .xinitrc in your home directory(you

fyi, there is a stable and mantained version of easytag for os x, as a native app (no x11 required), by this nice guy marco, at http://marcoschuh.de/wp/?page_id=411.

he's a bit busy now but he's done a great work and i must say easytag is the only useable audio tagger for me, and a close alternative to tag&rename, godfather and other power taggers for windows.

The same problem here too on a G5.

The terminal window has to do with Apple X11's default xinitrc script.

Edit /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc to comment out that line.

I'm always a bit uneasy with an application that opens Terminal, especially the first time it is started. And without any warning at all-beware.

If editing /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc does not help. Try look for .xinitrc in your home folder(you'll need to open the terminal for that since .xinitrc is hidden unix file). The .xinitrc in your home folder should look just like /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc. Comment out the line that starts xterm.
