WordSearch 4 Lite is the free version of WordSearch 4 (available from the Mac App Store: see 'Buy' link above) which is the successor to the widely acclaimed Word Search V3.

WordSearch 4 has been redesigned and written from the ground up but still maintains the ease of use and features of it's predecessor with the enhancements available in a modern Mac application.

WordSearch 4 Lite has all the functions of WordSearch 4 except that only wordsearches of 8 x 8 may be printed or exported.

What's New

Version 1.3.1:

Opening of both object and png files is now possible by drag and drop in the Shape editor.  
A new column has been added to the input table in the main window to allow words to be excluded from the word search creation.  
Three new sort criteria have been added.
- Words with clues can be sorted to the top of the table 
- Excluded words can be sorted to the top of the table 
- Excluded words can be sorted to the bottom of the table
  
The font set in the preferences for the word column in the input table now also applies to the font of the length column in the table.

Like others before me, I must add that this is one of the best wordsearch app ever! I have used it to make great puzzles for years while I was a teacher. Not only is the developer wonderful about helping you, he's a really nice guy, too!

Simply the best word square generator available on Mac OS X. It builds on the excellent os 9 program by the same developer. He is very responsive, producing fast bug fixes and listens to users for suggestions. Its ability to generate multiple prints of the sdame word list is invaluable.
