- ReportWriter lets you set up headers and footers including automatic page numbering, date and timestamps, and graphics such as your company logo.
- Charts help you and other people interpret the numbers on your spreadsheet. Mesa has 2D and 3D charts (including Pie charts) which can be resized, customized and printed.
- Create English-like names ("labels") for cell ranges you use frequently, and refer to them by their names in all situations.
- Naturally Mesa has a full range of functions to allow you to do all the calculations you need. From simple SUM to complex financial deals, Mesa has the function you need.
- Use the Formula Builder to set up your formulas easily -- read about the functions as you use them!
- Of course, Mesa lets you tailor fonts, colors and formatting styles to make your worksheet look good.
- Read and Write Excel spreadsheets and share data with your colleagues who don't use Mesa. ( We don't guarantee complete Excel compatibility)
- We don't yet support scripting, and there are certain features of Excel such as Pivot Tables and some functions that we don't do.

Like any software, Mesa takes a little getting used to, and you have to want to make the break from Excel in order to learn the Mesa way. However, the software comes with excellent Help documentation, and a lot of its behavior makes perfect sense once you know how it works. That said, I do encourage the developer of Mesa to continue enhancing the product, since it has been over a year since the last significant update.

In order to compete with Excel on any platform, a product absolutely MUST have complete compatibility with it.
