This application is still a work in progress in several important respects where it claims to be what it is not yet in fact. The "quicktours" are very impressive - and somewhat misleading. Be sure to check out checkout thoroughly before you buy. For my own needs, I reluctantly came to the conclusion that it could not be made to work.
I closely examined this application, hoping to use it in my CD shop. It does LOOK great, and in most regards seems very promising. Sad to say, though, in its present form, the application proved unsuitable, due to a single failing: it doesn't support multiple taxes in data imports.
If like me you have a large, pre-existing database, and must import records for new items on a regular basis, this flaw renders the application essentially worthless.
I also want to say that my experience in communicating with the developer was mixed at best. I supplied numerous bug reports over a period of weeks, and at the outset of our email correspondence they seemed reasonably responsive. But after an unsuccessful attempt to impress upon them the importance in the North American market of support for mutilple taxes, the conversation grew progressively more one-sided. and in the end, once my demo version of the application had timed out (which I informed them of) they simply stopped responding to any message I sent. The last message I received from them was this:
> Sorry, I maybe rushed through your mail too fast. > I have a very full inbox :-(
> I'll read it again this weekend and will get back to > you.
That was 10 weeks ago, during which time I sent five further messages from two separate domains. Pretty shoddy, wouldn't you say?
