Support is also top notch (though I needed their help only once as it's rock solid) !
I tried some other sound improvement software (like Hear) and must say that I reverted to SRS iWOW after just a few minutes.
First, others do not support external audio hardware like my beloved Creative X-FI (sound christalyser).
Second, others aren't as straightforward, too many settings may confuse even experienced users. And, like me, you may well experience problems with other software that use audio (Skype etc...)
Bottom line :
The few extra bucks you'll pay for SRS iWOW over Hear are well worth it !
As far as I'm concerned I highly recommend iWow, all my audiophiles friends say the same !

Then I came across a program called Hear made by Prosoft, makers of Drive Genius and decided to see if it would make a actual difference and to my shock my desk to speakers were sounding like high priced speakers and I was totally blown away. Not only was it tuned for iTunes but anything else that used audio and it could be totally customized to your taste.
One day a friend came over while I was playing my iTunes and asked how I was getting that type of sound out of my speakers? I told him about hear and showed him the inter face and turned it on and off to show the difference. It was totally like night and day. As soon as I turned it of my sound went flat. Now just to let you know these were creative speakers that cost me $100. Now I have my Mac playing through my entertainment system and still use Hear 1.0.5.
iWow, you were great tool prior to Hear but Hear blows you and any other sound enhancing tools out of the water. Hear even tell the user ti disable any sound utility you may be using before implementing Hear so you do not create a conflict.
This is a combo review and comment comparing what was when and what is now. Hear is the technology of the future for sound on the Mac. It has a ton of presets for all sorts of categories just to get started and once you go over the manual you will learn how to tweak the setting or create your own. If iWow is to survive, it is going to need some major work if it expects to compete against Hear. It is a pity That Mr M. the editor at About this Particular Mac (atpm.com) will not let me join and bring life back to what is now a newsletter. End of Line...

It's been 5 weeks now and still no update and they keep on saying a fixed version will be there soon for the same 5 weeks.
By the way, the workaround wasn't even discovered bij SRS themselves...
Looking at their facebook page shows that they are very busy with all kind of things, they should be busey with their incompatible software instead....
It's a shame.

itunes 10.4 initially broke iWOW. 3.2 works fine on iTunes 10.4 on Snow Leopard. Haven't tried it on Lion.

And don't believe their release notes either -- there are lots of versions and changes not listed there.
Also, if you are getting an error on your console about an invalid iWow plugin in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL then delete the iWow.plugin that's there, then run the latest iWow installer.
Yes, they are sloppy, sloppy sloppy. But the program does work. Eventually.

Although I was able to demo it on my old Mac running iTunes 9 on Tiger and the plug-in works pretty well.

Your customer relations stinks like a pile of fecal matter on a hot summer's day.
You've already alienated lots of customers and potential customers. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant!!! LOL.

to purchase an SRS iWOW upgrade for $5.99, entered the code SRS10038 and the response was Attention...Invalid Code. WTF!!!
The notice about the $5.99 update was posted below by Michael @SRS iWOW on July 23, 09.
I'm getting another killer migraine headache from all this aggravation.
