This is - or was - the best of the menubar weather apps. But it suddenly stopped working today, maybe because Weather.com changed its API?

Same here. "Invalid Licensee Key" Guess it's time to visit the devs site.

They know about it. From their site.

"invalid license key" issue
There is an issue with the WeatherSnitch license key for weather.com.
I have contacted them and I'm currently waiting for a reply.

Update - 11.05.11 - Still waiting for a reply.

Thank you for your patience.

It's probably toast, weatherdock is gone too now becaues weather.com decided to get really greedy with its licensing.

I'm back to using Meteorologist

Agree! Hope this can be fixed with new weather servers. Meteorologist seems to use the same server and still works, but with both I cannot get the weather for a few places, which the Aviation Weather widget has no problem with.

It stopped functioning today. All I get is N/A Invalid License Key for the weather .

Does what Meteorologist used to do, the difference being that WeatherSnitch is still supported. Nice, free software - thank you!

I am a satisfied users of Meteorologist, another free menu bar program. The reason - It works for me and provides more information from the menu bar, than this product does - at least based on the screenshots and description as I have yet to actually try the product. However Meteorologist is quite unstable for some and has not been updated or well supported in quite a while. Therefore I can no longer recommend it for new users. It will not surprise me if Meteorologist fails to function in Leopard. If so it is likely I will attempt to switch to this product.

Ideally, since Meteorologist seems to be looking for a reliable development effort, it would be nice if the developer of this product took a look at Meteorologist and if possible, took on it's continued development, with the goal of merging this product and Meteorologist into a single product. It seems to be a duplication of efforts to me to have two products, both free, that visually do mostly the same thing using the same resource (weather.com).

Seconded on the Meteo comment. Use that open source!

Why this developer didn't just pick up the Meteo source code. It currently has a bug in searching for cities (which makes it useless for a first-time user), but otherwise it's a much more capable and mature package. And it's free/open source to boot.

Seems to be working great. Also it's not a MenuExtra, which automatically makes it more stable than other similar programs. And it uses Growl :-)
