iForgot lets you control your Mac using email, text messaging or SMS. Use another computer, your cell phone or a portable electronic device to search your Mac for files using Spotlight, fax documents, take iSight snapshots, or forward files to other email accounts using simple commands. iForgot is there when you need it to save the day when you forget to grab a file or launch an application before you leave home.
What's New
Version 1.4.1: Release notes were unavailable when this listing was updated.
Requirements
PPC / Intel
Mac OS X 10.4 or later
Email (SMS or text messaging) capable device including cell phone, BlackBerry, portable electronic device or another email capable device (even a Windows computer). iSight or DV camera attached via FireWire for remote iSight snapshots.
To me, one "Killer App" for the Mac is home security. Being able to access the iSight camera to take picture of the room makes me wonder if you could either add motion detection and sms or eMail alarms and/or work closely with a program called SecuritySpy... www.SecuritySpy.com
But it costs me money to send email from my phone. I have free unlimited internet on my cell phone. It'd be nice to be able to connect to this program via the internet.
