Serenade is a very simple program, that grabs lyrics and displays them in a single window.

Serenade searches iTunes for lyrics and if they are not found, a website is searched and the lyrics are displayed. If Serenade has to get lyrics from a website then it will copy them in to iTunes, so next time you listen to that song the lyrics will load faster and no internet connection is needed. There is a search drawer where you can search for lyrics of songs you don't have on iTunes. Use this with Play MiniTunes and you have a pretty sweet iTunes setup!

It seems that LyricsDir (the website I use to obtain lyrics) has inserted a small javascript in to their pages to block out any -curl commands. Basically this means it won't allow Serenade access to it's lyrics. So right now only lyrics that you already have stored in iTunes will work. I reccomend you do not download this until i find i new website and rework some of the coding to accomodate for that website. Sorry for any inconvieniences.

program failed to load and no is included with the zip file for trouble shooting. I realise it's beta and buggy but the website doesn't even mention it's existance. Any way you can shed some light on what I might be doing wrong?

I usually post stuff here, before I post it on my website, because my web host is not good for hosting files. I am currently trying to get a better web host. I am not sure whats with he file, but I'll zip it again and post it in like 10 minutes.

sorry that it hasn't been posted yet. There is currently no power in my house so i am using a laptop for this. when the power comes back, i am going to make a dmg file out of it. hopefully that will have better results.

jumps up in the dock about once and then disappears again... so actually it just crashes on startup... i would love to have this app though! :-) looks great actually! :-)

I really could't tell you because I tested it on my computer, and it works perfectly fine. Maybe I will go test it on my brothers laptop, see how it works there.
